Fellowship Activities
Specific upcoming events:
Volleyball Court Prep: May 4
Since we cancelled last Tuesday night, we’re holding a work night again THIS Tuesday at 5pm. Come to volleyball an hour early to help replace ALL the rope for the court, replace light bulbs, pull some grass that has grown on the court, as well as rake the sand. If we get enough helpers we’ll be done quickly, and be able to get some games in!!!! Also note that this is for adults and teens 15 years and up. So if you have little ones please make arrangements to leave them with a babysitter or spouse. I am very excited to play Volleyball and look forward to a good year!!!!
All-Church Cookout & Senior Night: June 13
Each year, to honor our graduating seniors, we host a cookout starting around 3:30, and spend time fellowshipping and playing games. Then, from 6-8, the church is invited inside for stories from Pastor Dan and parents in honor of the seniors. A slideshow of their life is prepared, and a graduation gift is given. It's a wonderful time for our seniors, their families, and our church body.
Camping Weekend: June 18-20
The camping weekend is an annual event which is very popular with tenters and RV-ers alike. We enjoy great fellowship highlighted by a group cookout on Saturday night, and we end the weekend on Sunday with an outdoor worship service (weather permitting). This past year's weekend we went to Mi-Te-Jo Campground in Milton, NH. Visit their website at www.mi-te-jo.com.
Other events:
Fellowship Dinners
Like so many other fellowships, we take great delight in spending time together as a family. We particularly enjoy having meals together, and pot-luck dinners are a common fellowship activity. From our earliest beginnings as a church, it seems many of our meetings were described with the words, 'Scripture was read, prayers were offered, and coffee and cake were served.'
Volleyball
A time of fun, exercise, and fellowship, all are welcome regardless of ability! Meets Tuesday evenings at 6:30 PM from May through October at the church, November through April at an indoor location (hopefully by winter 2010 in our own church!).
