Journey to Bethlehem

Be sure to join us December 2024!

We will not be hosting The Journey in December 2023.
This year, we encourage our annual visitors to consider attending:

Ebenezer Scrooge: A Christmas Carol

An original musical adaptation retelling the tale of the redemptive Dickens' classic! Presented by New Life Fine Arts.

What is the Journey to Bethlehem?

Through this special dramatic presentation, we seek to reach our friends, neighbors, and community to share with them the joyous reason to celebrate this season. We spend time gathering props, costumes, animals, and people to bring to life before your eyes the rugged, inspired journey that a pregnant Mary and dutiful Joseph made over 2000 years ago as they carried with them the Son of God.

Your "Journey" starts with a brief dramatic indoor presentation of biblical prophecy, explaining why the Messiah was to be born. You will then travel back in time to a carpenter's shop in Nazareth, where you receive traveling papers for your  outdoor journey.  You will join with a family of Jews who, like Mary and Joseph, must travel to their hometown of Bethlehem for the Roman census, encountering many sites, sounds, and people along the way. Your journey culminates at a stable where Jesus has been born! Here travelers discover the baby Jesus is God's promised Messiah, and that He is the Savior and the true giver of life and peace to all who believe in Him.

Your journey ends as you walk "back into the present" with hot cocoa and bake copious amounts of festive cookies!

We hope that during this Christmas season you will share the true meaning of Jesus' birth and remember His gift to you.
